New 2010 Jaguar XFR 5.0 V8
10th January 2010. The new Jaguar XF has been applauded by all comers since its launch two years ago. The first Jaguar XFR had the already superb 4.2L motor - but this new 5.0L V8 unit is a big step forward - it has it all - huge grunt, resonable economy (though that's a relative term) and an exhaust note to die for. If you could save £2000 and delete the sound system, we would - it's that good. The combination of elegant good looks, traditional leather and burr walnut inside with its sensational road performance make this on of the most desirable cars ever built.
New Jaguar E Type (in 2013)!
Jaguar will introduce a new coupé and roadster initially named the XE, but which will surely become known as the E Type. The new model is aiming squarely at the Cayman, Boxster and big-engined SLK, Z4 sportscar segment. Jaguar has for decades attracted the more mature, even retired owner, and this forced a relatively conservative design approach; but this all new 2-seater should help Jaguar appeal to younger and upwardly mobile buyers. The XE represents one model within a new range due to be completed by 2015; should Jaguar succeed in broadening its appeal and designing a winning car, annual production could hit 100k units. Slotting below the Jaguar XK, pricing will be in the competitive £40,000 to £50,000 range (assuming we don't end up with 20% inflation or deflation, that is). The XE project will share light_alloy design forming a platform for the new model ranges of Jaguar XK/XF/XJ. The present planning suggests V6 engines, generating 275PS or 350PS for the supercharged version. It will be interesting to see whether Tata can succeed where Ford failed; the S Type for example was intended to echo the lines of the 1960's Mk11, but it never really worked. The new XE Roadster and Coupe will be a welcome addition.
New Jaguar XJ London Launch
Jaguar Cars launched its all new XJ model at the SaatchiGallery in Chelsea on 9th July. The first buyers to receive their new Jaguars will be early in 2010 with pricing from £52500. The new Jaguar XJ will have the regular wheelbase on the luxury model fitted with the superb 3.0L V6 diesel motor. The new Jaguar XJ will have a panoramic glass sunroof which enables the XJ to possess a sleeker, lower and more streamlined roofline. Both the SWB and LWB models will be available at the launch date. There will be a totally new choice of colours, woodwork veneer and leather interior never before fitted within a new Jaguar. There are three spec levels to choose from: the Luxury model, a Premium Luxury and the top of the range Portfolio. However, a new Supersport option will also include rooflining in hide, special leather seat design and individual laser inlayed wood veneer. New Generation III diesel and petrol motors are fitted in the new Jaguar XJ. Whilst Dynamic technology includes airsuspension, active diff control and Jaguar adaptivedynamics (which offers continuous variable damping action).
