Suzuki says its new saloon is a full 5-seater and that its cabin accomodates five adults with ease. The bootspace is 515L and a 60/40 folding rear seat back means that awkward or long articles can be carried with three passengers. The new Suzuki SX4 saloon Specification includes 6 air bags, CD radio, auto A/C Climate Control, 15" alloy rims, key less unlocking and starting. Bumpers and side mouldings are colour coded. The new Suzuki SX4 four door is a useful addition to the compact saloon market place.
SUZUKI SWIFT REVIEW
Whilst the Suzuki name badge may not be up there with Renault or Mini, the Swift is an excellent package that offers top notch dynamics and build quality. The Swift offers style and sportiness which make it stand out. There is generous cabin and loadspace and the seats are comfortable. The best feature of a Swift is its pinsharp handling and roadholding which means it is entertaining both in the city and on twisty B-roads. Steering is light but accurate with a well-weighted feel and gokart handling which creates a real fun factor. Suzuki pricing is competitive and the standard equipment list is better than many equivalent rivals. The Swift offers a 90PS 1.3L as the GL version which has a 0-62 mph time of 11s offering lively city thrills, but perhaps insufficient power for spirited open road driving. The bigger and revvy 1.5L produces 100PS; it is refined and great fun, mated to a fast gearbox. Suzuki's VVT design enables the 1.5L to return good fuel economy, averging better than 45 miles per gallon. A 1.3 DDiS diesel motor offers 70PS. The diesel is no road burner but does have sufficient power and offers 60 miles per gallon. The Swift is a great citycar, zipping easily through traffic then slipping into the tightest parking slots. There are few super minis that offer a better overall package than the Suzuki Swift.
SUZUKI NEW ALL-MAKE SERVICING
Suzuki announces its New All-Make Servicing and Repair programme. This is introduced across the Suzuki dealer network of 150 showrooms. The programme, an auto industry first, launched at the end of May and will develop to help Suzuki dealers to provide many-brand servicing, MOT and repairs on a ‘1-stop shop’ basis. This new Suzuki initiative enables drivers of any car brand to experience great levels of consistent customer service which Suzuki owners already enjoy. This Suzuki achievement reflects well in a new survey by Which? magazine. Suzuki is one of two car makers actually rated better than independent workshops for many-make maintenance. To ensure Suzuki car dealers can offer this new service with high standards, Suzuki teamedup with 3 leading companies in the auto industry: Autodata, MAM and Motaquip. Suzuki plans to provide logistics so Suzuki car dealers can source parts next day and access the comprehensive range of 12,000 Motaquip parts and components using its parts distribution facility based in Milton Keynes. Motaquip is very well known and highly respected; it provides a comprehensive range of parts for servicing and repair. Accurate details of each model is required before ordering any part, this is quickly achieved through linking the specialist MAM data base which operates in hand with the Motaquip catalogue of parts. In all, the Suzuki database will hold technical information for 6700 new and used car models - across 56 car makers.
