Sharp financial downturns always trigger extraordinary discounts; beachside flats thrown in free with a house, now it's two new cars for the price of just one. This extraordinary offer is being driven by total logic, according to web based car retailer Broadspeed.com. Broadspeed claims to have shaken up the new car market with "radical marketing measures." Broadspeed boss Simon Empson argues that if the stock market falls 40%, then wy should prices of consumer goods not follow suit? "What recession? "These Dodge Avengers sold out in under 7 days. It is fair to assume that with no discount, these cars would have taken years to sell." Broadspeed's BOGOF (buy-one-get-one-free) latest model is the Kia Magentis 2.0- you can own two unused though registered Magentis models for £15,220 - Empson says he is preparing another BOGOF new car offer "from a big car maker with deep financial problems". Simon says the new car market is "significantly worse than any other time during the last 10yrs," which leaves car makers simply desperate to sell unwanted surplus new cars.
